    MBP Metalworks is a  Flat Rolled Specialty Steel Service Business.  Kim Post, a 35 year plus, self employed business woman  and Brent Post, a 40 plus year veteran in the flat rolled steel business  teamed up in 2007 to form MBP Metalworks.  Their mission is to provide outstanding, uniquely specialized service to our customers beyond what competitors offer.  MBP's forte is metallurgy and quality always working to improve customer satisfaction while reducing their costs.  This revolutionary approach is to eliminate rejects by personally inspecting and testing each and every coil MBP sells.  MBP is well known and respected in the Mid-West steel industry, especially for its honesty, steel expertise, quality, and production related problem solving skills.  MBP Metalworks offers customers special attention to spot buys both master coil and processed.  MBP also does parts and prints evaluating for proper steel application, steel specifications and interpretations.  MBP is revolutionizing the steel industry one coil at a time.

Kim's focus at MBP is to continually be at the forefront of the steel industry in Service, Quality and Operations.  Kim handles estimates and all details once an order is received including scheduling, logistics, paperwork & communications.  Kim enjoys being able to communicate  and meet our customers and suppliers, especially  learning about ways MBP can  improve our process and service.  Kim has  a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State and is also a Certified Residential Appraiser.  She is a on the board of the Rental Property Owner Association of Kent County.
Brent Post - MBP President. Brent's extensive knowledge of steel is used every day as he "scours the planet" searching for our customers steel and then personally inspects before shipping. Brent immediately responds to customer inquiries, provides offers to customers, approves all purchases and personally inspects all material, as well as handles all quality and specification questions, as well as troubleshooting.  Brent started in the steel industry as a slitter helper and and worked in all facets of the steel service industry except for accounting.  Brent has taken many classes, earning certificates including but not limited to:  Forming Sheet Metal, Proven Draw Die Practices from FMA; Quality Auditor and Certified Quality Auditor from ASQ; 8 D Problem Solving and Metallurgy for the Non-Metallurgist from ASM.  Brent continuously studies current specs and trends in the flat rolled steel industry.
